Today is the final installment in our series “Shades” – Together we have made a lot of discoveries and have been challenged to rethink HOW we see things in our world. We even got a bonus session last where we talked about the Greatest Homecoming. Today we go to a very familiar and often quoted verse. This verse is often quoted in times of struggle, but let’s unpack it to really understand how it can transform our hopelessness into hopefulness. What you are getting ready to see, yes – really see is that the verse that gives us the prescription of how to view the world because it helps us understand how God sees it

Today we pick back up with our series called Shades. After a week off we want to take a quick review. In Cracked Lenses we saw how we must move from a life of regret to a life of redemption. In Foggy Lenses we discovered that our lives don’t have to be defined by anxiety and worry but instead can be lives of assurance. Today, we find there is still another type of lens that we often view life through. It is something that everyone battles and is very real. Dark Lenses…these are the types of lenses that keep us fixated on the circumstantial and blinded from the spiritual. These lenses have to be changed and with His help they can! Get ready, it will be fun!

In the series Shades, we are challenging you with the question – What kind of Shades are you wearing?
Last week, we talked about Cracked Lenses, and today, we’re tackling what happens when worry clouds our vision—like trying to see through foggy glasses.
Do you find yourself wrecked with worry way too often? If so, then what do you say? Let’s try to defog the fog!

Today, we embark on a new series titled “Shades,” where we’ll explore how our perspectives shape our lives and faith.
We don’t see life as it is – we see it through the lenses we wear.
Some wear cracked, dirty, or distorted lenses and see everything through the fog of defeat, fear, or regret.
Healthy people wear lenses of promise, where they see everything with faith, hope and trust in God.
The difference isn’t the scenery – it is the clarity and the condition of the lenses.
What kind of SHADES are you wearing?

Pride is one of most dangerous and powerful forces we can face in life.
In fact, it can drive us completely crazy. Because when pride walks into our lives, it demands that we take a step back from God.
And when that happens, the floodgates of crazy are wide open.
But as we will see, if we’ll continue to learn from the past and heed the writing on the wall of history, we may just be able to keep crazy at bay.
If we can learn to do that – we will find ourselves right smack in the middle of the Speedway of Sanity
